John Zink Company Introduces Innovative Flare Ignition Components to Withstand
Extreme Weather Conditions
TULSA, Okla. (Nov. 1, 2001) - John Zink Company has introduced both the John Zink® WindProofTM flare pilot and the John Zink® SoundProof® flare pilot monitor. Both products were developed to address process industry demands for improved flare system reliability and efficiency.
The John Zink WindProof flare pilot, designed, tested, verified and certified at John Zink's full-scale pilot test facility, stays lighted and stable under intense weather conditions, including winds of 160-plus mph from any direction and rainfall in excess of 30 inches per hour. The pilot consumes as little as 45 SCFH of natural gas; burns a broad range of fuels without adjustment; works with existing Flame Front Generator ignition systems and is interchangeable with most existing pilots.
The John Zink SoundProof flare pilot monitor delivers rapid pilot verification and uninterrupted performance under extreme weather conditions. SoundProof rapidly detects pilot outages using an acoustic sensor. Flame status is indicated with signal lights on the unit and contacts to an outside system. Other benefits include at grade installation and maintenance during flare operation; distinguishing of the individual pilot from other flames and quick response time.
