Vapor Blower Units (VBUs)

Our vapor blower units (VBUs) are designed to effectively transfer VOCs and enhance operational safety by reducing the risk of vapor-related incidents.

Overview

Precise Vapor Transfer for Optimal Control

John Zink's Vapor Blower is a critical component in vapor control systems, specifically engineered to transfer vapor from loading sources to end control devices such as vapor recovery units (VRU) or vapor combustion units (VCU). The blower operates by maintaining a set pressure at the loading source, which is controlled using a pressure transmitter and a variable frequency drive (VFD). This setup ensures precise control of the blower's speed, adapting to various pressure requirements depending on the application. The vapor blower can also be configured with a spillback control valve for systems using constant-speed blowers. The system is designed for flexibility across multiple loading scenarios including marine, truck, rail, and tank operations, and it ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while optimizing vapor capture efficiency.

Features

  • Centrifugal Design: Efficiently handles large volumes of vapor with precise control.
  • Variable Frequency Drive (VFD): Allows for dynamic adjustment of blower speed based on real-time pressure data.
  • Pressure Control Loop (PIC): Ensures consistent pressure maintenance at the loading source.
  • Spillback Control Valve: Offers an alternative pressure control method for systems using constant speed blowers.
  • Detonation Arrestors: Required for marine systems to prevent flame propagation.
  • AMCA B Construction: Spark-resistant construction for enhanced safety.

Benefits

  • Operational Efficiency: Provides precise pressure control to optimize vapor collection and reduce emissions.
  • Enhanced Safety: Includes advanced safety features such as detonation arrestors and spark-resistant construction.
  • Cost Savings: Reduces operational costs by optimizing blower performance through VFD control which minimizes  consumption.
  • Versatility: Suitable for a wide range of applications including marine, truck, rail, and tank loading operations.
