Vapor Control

PECS® Portable Emissions Control System

Our self-contained, trailer-mounted PECS unit is a cost-effective vapor combustion solution for VOC emission control. The PECS combustor meets and often exceeds emission control requirements and can be set up without heavy equipment. All of our PECS units include advanced controls, safety equipment, and valves.

Bundle a PECS rental with other John Zink services – such as installation, start-up, on-site operator assistance and training, or dismantling – to save time and money.

  • 40 to 65 MMBtu/hr capacities
  • 4,800 to 7,200 gpm gasoline loading
  • 45’ OAH

Horizontal PECS

  • Designed for vapor control, flaring, and thermal oxidation
  • 40 MMBtu/hr capacities
  • 4,800 gpm gasoline loading
  • 13’ – 1” OAH

Degassing PECS Unit

  • 10 to 20 MMBtu/hr combustion chamber

Portable VRU Equipment

Recovered Product Monitoring System

The Recovered Product Monitoring System (RPMS) is engineered to accurately measure the amount of liquid product recovered by the vapor recovery unit (VRU) over time. If a vapor combustion unit (VCU) is in place, the RPMS can estimate the potential liquid product that could be recovered with a VRU installation.

The system includes a gas turbine meter, pressure transmitter, RTD, and a continuous inlet vapor total hydrocarbon analyzer monitoring system (CIMS). It interfaces with an existing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to measure the hydrocarbon quantity in the vapor feed stream to the VRU. A running total of recovered hydrocarbon, expressed as the equivalent volume of recovered liquid product, is displayed on the Operator Interface Panel (OIP) or Yokogawa recorder.

Portable Chiller Skid

  • Designed for gasoline loading
  • Improves VRU emissions performance during periods of high gasoline vapor pressure
  • 90-ton chiller capacity
  • Includes chiller, heat exchanger, surge tank, and water pump

Marine Loading Rentals

Dock Safety Units

In Marine Vapor Control Systems, safety begins at the dock. USCG regulations mandate specific safety equipment for these systems, including vessel over/under pressure protection, fire and explosion protection, and vapor conditioning. Our proven Dock Safety Unit (DSU) meets all USCG requirements, integrating necessary safety equipment into a convenient skid-mounted assembly.

Marine Vapor Combustion Units

A rental PECS can be paired with an existing or rental DSU to provide a complete marine vapor control solution. Our rental packages meet all USCG regulations, and we offer onsite training and startup services.
