Experts in Vapor Control for Marine Operations

John Zink is a leader in the marine and offshore market, backed by decades of extensive experience and cutting-edge vapor control and combustion technologies. We have successfully completed hundreds of marine terminal vapor control projects worldwide, providing a full suite of solutions that include vapor combustion and recovery systems, dock safety units, vapor blower units, and integrated control systems.

Our offerings in the marine and offshore market are designed to meet the stringent requirements of global regulations, such as those set by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Our gas combustion units (GCUs) and low-NOx burners are specifically tailored for LNG carriers and floating storage regasification units (FSRUs), ensuring efficient and environmentally compliant operations. For FPSOs, FSOs, FLNG units, and other offshore platforms, John Zink provides steam boilers, power modules, and multi-fuel combustion equipment that enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Our dock safety units (DSUs) and vapor blower units (VBUs) are integral to ensuring safety and efficiency in marine vapor control systems. These DSUs meet all USCG requirements for vessel over/under pressure protection, fire and explosion protection, and vapor conditioning, while our VBUs are designed to safely deliver vapors from the dock to the emission control device, incorporating features like spark-resistant blowers and detonation arrestors.

John Zink’s vapor control solutions, including vapor combustion units (VCUs) and vapor recovery units (VRUs), are recognized as the "Best Demonstrated Technology" and the "Maximum Achievable Control Technology" by the U.S. EPA. Our VCUs are designed to handle a broad range of vapor compositions and flow rates, offering destruction efficiencies typically exceeding 99%. Our VRSs utilize activated carbon to adsorb hydrocarbon vapors, achieving recovery efficiencies that often exceed 99%.
