When did you join John Zink?

I joined John Zink in 2022, right after graduating from OSU Tulsa. I was considering two offers, but John Zink’s emphasis on culture and the role’s responsibilities felt like a perfect fit. I enjoyed the interview process and enjoyed seeing what John Zink stood for, therefore it was a no brainer that John Zink was the right choice.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?

I think some of the most rewarding aspects of my job are completing milestones on time or even early. I also feel a great reward when a project gets started up on site and the customer is satisfied with both John Zink’s working capability and equipment.

What types of resources and support do you find most helpful in excelling in your engineering role?

One thing I love about John Zink and its culture is that everyone you talk to is willing to take time out of their day to answer questions or help anyone. I learned early on that no one has all the answers and the best way to get information is to find the right person in the business to ask. So, I would say the greatest support is all my coworkers around me willing to answer my questions and teach me along the way.

“I am forever grateful for this position and the amazing company culture that surrounds me.”

Which PBM™ principle resonates with you the most, and how do you apply it in your role to create value?

The principle that resonates with me the most would be contribution motivation. I feel as though I am contribution motivated in all aspects of my role. I feel great accomplishment if others come to me for help and I love helping others and doing what I can to keep their project progressing.

Looking back on your career, what are some achievements or moments that you are particularly proud of?

I am proud to be part of a company that recognizes the hard work I put into my daily tasks. Even being noticed for this employee spotlight is a proud moment for me, because it tells me that others notice the hard work I put into everything I do. I am forever grateful for this position and the amazing company culture that surrounds me.

Shifting gears a bit, do you have any pets? We’d love to hear about them.

I have two animals, a dog named Koda and a cat named Mimsie. Koda is a red heeler/boxer mix and has a lot of unique personality traits. Mimsie is a black and white tabby and she is very onery. She is currently on a diet because she is very overweight from using an automatic feeder. Now, we limit her food, but she isn’t happy about it. Every time we pass the laundry room, she jumps to her bowl expecting a refill.
